新刊でました。 New book released!

　お久しぶりです、丸岡です。

　この度、新刊「Fine Horse Stories 1: Ehon Komagatake English translation」

を出版いたしました。これは、2021年10月に出版しました「名馬物語　一: 絵本高麗嶽　現代語訳」の英語版です。

We published a new book, "Fine Horse Stories 1: Ehon Komagatake English translation" recently. It is an English translation of  "名馬物語　一: 絵本高麗嶽　現代語訳".

　英語版の本は2020年8月に出版しました「Naganuma Ryu Troop Movement Training Manual: An Edo Period Samurai Military Arts and Sciences Textbook」に引き続き、2冊目となります。

　Our first English book was "Naganuma Ryu Troop Movement Training Manual: An Edo Period Samurai Military Arts and Sciences Textbook" in August 2020. This time we released the second book.

　今回、特別に少しだけ中身をご紹介します。以下は平安時代末期から鎌倉時代初期の武将、畠山重忠とその愛馬、白浪です。力持ちで知られる彼は、源平の戦いの一つ、一の谷の戦いで白浪を担いで谷を降りたとの逸話があります。

　Only in this blog, we introduce some contents about Hatakeyama Shigetada and his favorite horse, Shiranami. He was a samurai from late Heian to early Kamakura period and famous for his strength. During Battle of Ichi-no-Tani, which was one of the Genpei wars, there was an anecdote that Shigetada walked down on the steep path with his horse on the back .

　他にも源満仲の驄⿓や源義家の源太⿊、関羽の赤兎馬、項羽の騅といった日本や中国の武将と彼らの名馬の逸話が紹介されています。特に最後の騅の話は、驚きと涙を誘うものがあります。是非、本編をお読みください！

　There are other stories of Soryu with Minamoto no Manju, Genda-guro with Minamoto no Yoshiie, Sekitoba with Guan Yu and Zhui with Xiang Yu in this book. Especially the last episode of Zhui, you will be surprized and moved at its behavior. Please read and enjoy the book!
